So I’m gonna be completely honest here and this is going to be an extremely controversial opinion BUT… I don’t think the original Crash Bandicoot games made by NaughtyDog (or the PS2 era games) were that good. Maybe it’s just because I grew up with the original Spyro games made by Insomniac and not Crash but the reason I always preferred Spyro over Crash is because the levels I’ve played in the OG Crash games can get more stressful to get through as they go on, whereas Spyro makes me feel more relaxed whenever I play through those levels. In a way Spyro is more of a comfort game for me, whether I’m playing the PS1 trilogy or the Reignited Trilogy. While not all the games are perfect, I still enjoy playing them. As for Crash… well… I honestly prefer the newer games from recent years over the old ones, like some of the remakes (mostly CTR Nitro Fuled), Crash Bandicoot 4 It’s About Time, and Crash Team Rumble’s Party Mode. If anyone likes or prefers og Crash over the newer one, that’s completely fine. And no one is the bad guy for liking the newer games more (although some over-obsessed crash fanboys would think otherwise). Everyone has a reason for liking one of the two. All that being said though, I don’t really “hate” Crash Bandicoot in general. I personally just don’t really enjoy it as much as I enjoy Spyro.
